Mr. Barker is a Managing Director at Revolution Partners. Prior to joining Revolution Partners, Mr. Barker was at IBM as a result of its $200 million acquisition of Trigo Technologies, the product information management company that he helped build to profitability, 150 employees and a $40+ million run-rate. Mr. Barker was formerly in the Mergers & Acquisitions practice of the CSFB Technology Group and has experience in virtually all IT sectors. Mr. Barker has executed numerous mergers and acquisitions in the technology industry during his career for clients such as Apple, Informix, Intuit, KLA, Netscape, Nortel, PLATINUM, PureAtria, TopTier and VLSI, including the $3.4 billion sale of PLATINUM to Computer Associates, the largest software acquisition in history at the time. Mr. Barker was formerly with Bluevector’s software practice where he led Bluevector's investment into TopTier and subsequent sale to SAP for $400 million. Bluevector was the venture investing arm of marchFIRST. Mr. Barker was formerly with the Technology Mergers and Acquisitions practices of Deutsche Morgan Grenfell (DMG) and Morgan Stanley. Mr. Barker received a BA in Political Economy and a BS in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley. |
